....Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. Are You Stressed?
What you should know about stress:
Stress will keep us from doing what God has called us to do.
There will be pressure in life.
Isolation complicates the process.
Stressed out people are not reaching out.
Stressed out people are self centered.
Stress will put you in , but the truth of God's Word will liberate you.
Stress can kill your relationships and your joy.
You can overcome stress through the principles of Gods Word.
5 Things...that will help us to pass the stress tests in our lives:
1. Cast all of your cares on Him.....because He cares for You! (1 Peter 5:7-9) We need to do something with our cares. We can either carry them or cast them. You can make a withdrawal from your heart and deposit on Him.
2. Commit the future to God. We can choose to believe the worst or expect God for the best. God is more faithful than the devil is persistent.
3. Concentrate on His Word. Are we believing the message of Jesus? We need to be more influenced by the Word of God than the words of the world. The Word will always cause us to reach the world.
4. Connect with believers, not doubters. (Heb. 10:21-25) Go out of your way to connect, help and encourage others. Getting over our stress helps us to effectively minister to others.
5. Count your blessings. Sometimes, when we become "stressed out" we are forgetting what we have. We have the presence of God in our lives! The fact is, we only need to count to 1....because God is still with us.
Don't allow stress in this life to keep you from the spiritual power that is available to you!
