Luke 19:28-40
......vs. 30 "Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, 'Why are you untying it?' tell him, 'the Lord needs it.' "
GOD has NEED of YOU!
HE needs YOU to ACCOMPLISH HIS plan and PURPOSE on the EARTH!
As Jesus was entering the city, He could have stopped to bask in the success that He had achieved. Many in the crowd could testify of His goodness, His love, and His compassion! Jesus could have stopped right there; in the comfort of His success. But His purpose was past His success; His purpose and His focus was the cross! Jesus was willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING to fulfill His real purpose in life! Yet many times, we are willing to sacrifice our calling in life for a place of comfort. The truth is......God is more concerned about where you are going rather than where you are right now!
Jesus' Triumphal Entry Into Our Lives:
His authority is displayed! Jesus sought permission to take the colt even though He had the authority to do so. God always seeks permission in our lives. He desires yielded and willing hearts along the way. Jesus' authority can take anything small in our lives and make it big! His great authority comes with great love. It is never about our great ability. It is about God's great ability in us! No one is too insignificant for God to use! Just as Jesus instructed them to "untie" the colt, we need to be untie our gifts; letting go of the reigns and allow God to use us as He desires!
His power is unleashed! The colt/donkey was untamed and untrained. Because of Jesus' power, He was able to ride the colt in peace! Did you know that His power can be released in every area of your life? Many times people are looking for the spectacular and they miss the supernatural. There are NO SMALL MIRACLES in our lives! Never allow His power to go unnoticed in your life?
He is the King of Kings! The people in the crowd didn't recognize everything about our Lord, but they praised Him for what He had done. Those in the crowd were living testimonies of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! Luke 19:39 says, Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!" "I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out." If they didn't cry out, the rocks would! Don't allow comfort to stop you from your purpose in life! Allow God to transform your life, taking those things which you may consider small and using them to fulfill His purpose!
ARE you serving Him COURAGEOUSLY?
Are you NOTICING the little THINGS that HE does in YOUR life?
Are YOU giving HIM the PROPER RECOGNITION for Who HE is and What HE has DONE?
